About me? I work in a pathology lab in central London (UK) and don’t have much of a life beyond that. If you’re looking for my teaching blog, try here .
You want more? OK. I was an avid reader when I was growing up – possibly related to my complete lack of athletic skill, combined with being short sighted. Every weekend I’d head down to the local library and check out around a dozen novels, using both my own and my parents’ library tickets. I read for entertainment, not with some higher purpose. Worked my way through mysteries and adventures such as Agatha Christie, Alistair MacLean and Ian Fleming. Then I discovered SF and fantasy in the form of Isaac Asimov, Michael Moorcock and Roger Zelazny.
University and professional life curtailed my leisure reading, and in more recent years I’ve had little time to read fiction. I do remember being transported by those early stories, and I hope that my writing can maybe help my readers reach that feeling to some small extent.
