I’m super excited to show off my updated A Quiet Rebellion books. 4 years after releasing Guilt, I reckoned my writing skills had improved enough for me to polish up the text and give the cover a makeover. And since it made sense to update all three covers together, I did a light polish of Restitution and Posterity while I was at it.
Guilt has had the largest changes: no surprise since it was my first book, and I had little creative writing experience before it. I’ve trimmed about 1k from the word count and done some minor rephrasing. With the other two books, I corrected a couple of typos (no doubt introducing new ones 😛 ) and trimmed maybe a couple of hundred words overall. The most time-consuming part of the process was getting my head round how to bring the ebook text into Affinity Publisher so I could format the books for print. At least doing all 3 books together meant I could apply those newly acquired skills without the chance to forget them in between. (Needless to say, I’ve taken copious notes on the process so hopefully the next book will be straightforward).
The new covers are a real treat. Ken from Creative Covers did a fantastic job of taking my vague concepts and putting them together to symbolise my stories. Thanks, Ken!
And here are the covers for you to admire! Plus buy links, of course 😛
The paperbacks are live as well.
I still find it a weird experience holding physical copies of my own books. Not sure that will ever wear off. Not sure I want it ever to wear off!
